Thinner

There are two types of thinners in fact. One of them is for thinning your paint so that it would be too sticky(thick). The other is for washing your brushes or cleaning up the mess you made on your gunpla(or anywhere else). I only have the picture of the weaker thinner which is mean for thinning.

Retarder

Retarder is used to slow down the drying process of your paint. Used to maintain texture.

Spray

Color spray will give your models very nice texture and color. They're expensive and always result in wastage.(plus it stinks the place you spray). Alot of masking is required for a spray job. But the end result is great.

Panel line markers

Panel lining makers will make your gunpla come to life! Gives the model kit details , usually draw along lines. Don't be afraid to make mistakes , you can always clean up with rubber eraser or your fingers.

Top coat

Top coat is the finisher. After you've completed your model use top coat to seal the paint so that your sweaty hands will not make a mess of the paint job! LOL. Top coat also protects your paint job so that it will last longer.

You don't really have to use this , just keep your gunpla in a sealed and dry place.

Tape

The technique is called masking. We use tape to cover the areas you do not want to mess up. You don't have to use tamiya tape , any kinda of type will do.

I don't do this nowadays. Just paint carefully , you will save more time.

Markers

Markers are easy to use , can produce results but it takes time. Must do layers over layers for good results. Has limited paint angle due to its fixed and stiff marker head , unlike a brush that has a flexible head. Good for those who just started doing gunpla.
